The Gold Coast’s construction scene is looking pretty healthy with an estimated $5.5 billion in construction activity projected over the next 12 months.[1] 200 construction projects have already been confirmed for delivery over the next 2-3 years and gives Tradies strong positivity for continued demand providing for the industry. [1]
CSQ CEO, Brett Schimming, spoke at an industry launch on the Gold Coast in September announcing that “The major project pipeline is valued at between $4 billion (committed) and $14.8 billion (committed + potential) over the coming years.” [1]
“With the majority of these projects being residential construction projects, CSQ predicts continued strong demand for a wide range of building trades workers, including carpenters, electricians and plumbers.” [1]
“Large residential projects like the Jewel Surfers Paradise, Gainsborough Greens and the Arundal Springs Masterplan are typical of the kinds of works that will be driving activity,” says Mr Schimming. [1]
