Meet Kelsie Holland. She successfully completed the Certificate III in Landscape Construction (AHC30916) with FTA this year.
Kelsie came to us with a goal to learn new skills and get a qualification under her belt. She knew that the construction industry was where she wanted to be and getting her qual was the first step!
Struggling to get a foot in the door, prior to being qualified, Kelsie’s confidence had taken a huge hit. It can be a daunting task approaching Employers and being knocked back time after time. It takes real perseverance and Kelsie was no exception. Knowing what Kelsie’s goals were, we made sure to provide coaching around speaking to potential employers, guidance on how to present herself and overcome objections in interviews.
“I wanted training that would give me a qualification and the confidence to get a job in the construction industry. I worked my ass off, but learnt the skills needed to land a brick laying job”
Confident, skilled and qualified Kelsie gave herself every opportunity to succeed as a lady tradie and we couldn’t be more proud. It was the best news to hear that she had secured a labouring job at a local bricklayer’s business. You’re absolutely killing it Kelsie!
