How Can We Help?

What is SAGT RPL?

The Skills Assessment & Gap Training Program (SAGT) is an initiative of Construction Skills QLD (CSQ) giving existing workers – or return to work personnel –  in the building and construction industry a chance to turn their experience into a formal qualification.

Foundation Training Australia is an approved ‘CSQ Provider’ and our  SAGT program will help you turn your experience into a formal qualification. SAGT is for those working in the industry — or looking to re-enter — but don’t hold a formal qualification.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) allows learners to be credited for all, or part of, their nationally recognised qualification by demonstrating skills, understanding and experience in a particular field of work.

RPL is an assessment process that acknowledges an individual’s prior learning, experience, skills and knowledge in the working environment where it is relevant to their chosen qualification.  FTA can provide a credit against units of competency, often shortening the time required to complete a qualification.

Participants must demonstrate RPL experience in seventy percent (70%) or more of the competencies, Credit Transfers will be recognised and we train any gaps subjects fully, some conditions apply around this. This program is a great way to ‘Get Qualified’ and we recommend it for people seeking recognition of their years of experience in Industry!”
